"The goal of our graduate program is to prepare you for challenging positions in the application of information technology to solving business problems. Our minor in MIS is designed to complement your primary area of study by providing a background in and understanding of decision making processes in organizations, organizational needs for information systems development, and application of modern MIS concepts and tools to meet organizational needs."


Dr. Rassule Hadidi, Professor and Head of the MIS Department is the recipient of the 2016 UIS Faculty Excellence Award. This award “is intended to recognize sustained, career-long accomplishments at UIS in teaching and Scholarship.”
